If you read as many blogs as I do, you might be sick of these end-of-the-year posts. But I love New Year’s. The change of calendar year is all about reflection and rejuvenation, and because I’m an introspective person by nature, I love taking the opportunity to think about the person I was a year ago and the person I’d like to be in the coming year.
2011 was not an easy year for me, personally, so I’m looking forward to welcoming a new year. But before I start looking forward onto the year ahead, let’s take a look back on some of this past year’s foodie highlights.
Looking back on the past year, I’m so glad to have my blog! It gives me a place to revisit my photos and recipes and memories from the past (almost) six months. Here are a few favorites:

Favorite Meals:

Favorite Food Photos:
My post-birthday celebration brunch
A breakfast sandwich to rival McDonald’s
And so, Happy New Year, friends, family, readers! I hope you all enjoy your celebrations. I’m going to try to stay up until midnight to ring in 2012, but I can’t make any promises 🙂
I think I missed the post about making ghee- gotta check that out, I’ve been thinking of giving that a try, and lessening up on the dairy in this new year. Hope you have a fun night whatever you might do, and happy new year 🙂
Katie – it was one of my earliest posts 🙂 I hope you’ll try it – it’s so easy and super delicious!
I love New Year’s too. I love reflecting on the past and setting goals for the future. Glad I found your blog this year!
Thanks Amanda! Glad to have “met” you this year 🙂
I personally love the year in review posts, especially for blogs I haven’t been reading as long!! 🙂 Happy new year, friend!
Thank you, Christin, and to you!
